The four years that I spent teaching and co-facilitating with Liz at NTU in the early 2000s were amongst the happiest times of my working life. She was a great colleague and good friend and the thread of our connection continued through the decades. Feeling that thread of connection still in my heart and always will, knowing that she will also be living on in the hearts and minds of the many hundreds of people - clients, students and colleagues, whose lives she touched. She was something special 💜

Dear Liz,
was a wonderful and inspiring colleague for me, when we worked together at Manchester University. We then became friends when it turned out we lived in the same pennine village and were both heading towards retirement. She was a warm, funny and kindhearted friend and I miss her wisdom too, having learned so much from her about how to be a Grandmother.
I feel blessed to have know her.

with love and deep sadness,
Pam Winter

I've been lucky enough to be a close friend of Sophie for too many years to recall.
Liz was always incredibly dry but hysterically funny. Reserved yet fiercely protective and just the right amount of mad.
Rest in peace Liz x

I worked with Liz at NTU for several years in the 1990s and she was a wonderful colleague - always ready to support you with whatever you needed - a hug, a laugh or a cup of tea. I’m only sorry we lost touch but I will always remember her with fondness, and my thoughts are with the family who will be feeling her loss keenly.
